   I wrote a Shell Script in QC and invoked SoapUI from QC, but however i am not sure as how to proceed from here.

   Could you please guide me with these two queries of mine?

   To make a connection to a database from within SoapUI I have described here (http://www.pascalalma.net/2007/07/09/managing-the-test-database-with-soap-ui/). I make use of Ant here. please be aware that this might use an older version of SoapUI but it might give you a direction in the right way.
   I am not familiar with QC so I am afraid I can’t help you there.
   Hope this helps in some way :-)
